FeedGhost provides several keyboard shortcuts for commonly-used functions. Shortcuts for right-click menus are listed next to the command itself; for toolbar buttons, the tooltip shows the shortcut.
These keys are valid when in "river-of-news" mode:
| J | Move to the next article. |
| K | Move back to the previous article. |
| T, S | Tag (or share) the selected article. |
| Enter, V | Visit the article website. |
| Delete, Ctrl+D | Delete the selected article. |
| Ctrl+Q | Toggle the selected article between read and unread. |
These keys can be used from anywhere within FeedGhost:
| F1 | Launch the help tab. |
| Ctrl+N | Launch "Add Subscription" wizard. |
| Ctrl+F4 | Close the currently active tab. |
| Ctrl+Tab | Move to the next tab. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Tab | Cycle focus between the three major controls (tree, list, and browser). |
| Ctrl+Z | Undo the last action. |
| Ctrl+Y | Redo the last action that was undone. |
| Ctrl+T | Open a new, empty, browser tab. (Also note that Ctrl+Enter will fill in the "www." and ".com" parts of a normal web address). |
| Ctrl+F, F3 | Open the search tab. |
| F11 | Toggle between normal view and full-screen view. |
| Alt+Up, Alt+Down | Move the current browser window up or down by a line. |
| Alt+PageUp, Alt+PageDown | Move the current browser window up or down by a page. |
| F5 | Refresh the currently selected feed. |
| Ctrl+F5 | Refresh all feeds. |
| Ctrl+Shift+U | Toggle between showing all articles in the articles list, and just unread articles. |
The following keys apply when the articles list has focus.
| Ctrl+A | Select all articles. |
| Arrow Up, Arrow Down | Move up or down the list. |
The following keys apply when the subscriptions tree has focus.
| Delete, Ctrl+D | Delete the selected subscription. |
| Arrow Up, Arrow Down | Move up or down the tree. |
| Enter | Open the subscription website. |
| Ctrl+Shift+Q | Mark all articles in the selected subscription as read. |
| F2 | Rename or edit the selected subscription. |
| Ctrl+Shift+V | Move the selected subscription to a chosen folder. |
The following keys are used to modify how clicks on the article browser or web-browser operate.
| Shift+Click | Open the link in an external browser. |
| Alt+Click | Switch or don't switch to a new tab, in the opposite manner to your settings. |
